Led Zeppelin, possibly the greatest and most influential hard rock band ever, famously reunited for the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert in London’s O2 arena on December 10, 2007 and the professionally recorded concert footage will finally receive its official commercial release on DVD, Blu-Ray, CD and LP formats on November 19.

The band officially disbanded in 1980, after the death of John Bonham and the only occasion the remaining Led Zeppelin members (Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones) played together on stage was for seventeen minutes at Bob Geldof’s historical Live Aid concert on July 13, 1985.

For the following 22 years, a reunion of Led Zeppelin remained in the realm of fantasies of millions of their fans worldwide, until a benefit concert was staged to celebrate life and work of the then recently deceased music producer and longtime head of Atlantic Records Ahmet Ertegun, the man who was responsible for stellar careers of not only Led Zeppelin, but also Rolling Stones, Genesis, Phil Collins, Eric Clapton and many more.

When it was announced that Led Zeppelin would be the main act, up to 20 million ticket requests for the show were rendered online, making it possibly the show with the highest demand ever.

John Bohnam’s son, Jason Bohnam played drums during the highly successful concert and the event was professionally recorded, but the commercial release was held until this year.

After five years and countless bootleg releases of the show, we are now able to enjoy the unique musical event in its entire splendor. Before the home release, the concert film titled “Celebration Day” will be shown in theatres in 40 countries, starting from October 17.
