10. Brewery Ommegang Three Philosophers

Brewery Ommegang is a relatively young brewery. However, it has quickly grown over the past decade and their brew “Three Philosophers” is one of their most popular. It’s a dark, sweet brew, with a hint of fruit. Definitely different than your run-of-the-mill big beers.

2. Westvleteren XII

While many claim this is the best beer in the world, many equally claim that the scarcity produces hype, leading to high regards about this beer. However, it is a fantastic brew, very full-flavored with hint of spicy cinnamon and fruit. However, in order to get this beer, you must make an appointment with the Belgium Brewery, and only can only do so once every 60 days. The purchase is limited to one or two cases, per the brewery rules.

1. Alchemist Brewery Heady Topper

Yes, the beer that tops our list is served in a can. Although, get yourself a can of Heady Topper and we guarantee you will agree this brew belongs on this list. The can features and image of hops literally “blowing” out the top of the drinker head, and is a perfect depiction of the feeling when you drink it. With an aroma close to the scent of pine, the hops are nicely overwhelming in this brew. Peachy flavor to follow in an attempt to counter some of the bitterness of the hops. Overall, a great brew.
